Hi Luan, are you writing a novel base on Jung’s archetypes theory ? When the book is out, let me know I am going to buy one. Quite interested to read a novel involving Jung’s analytic psychology.
That’s right Sally. The thing is, every good story is based on archetypes. In other words, every novel / film is basically written to a similar formula. So I really want to see what I can do with that.
I don’t want to give too much away right now, but if you like The Alchemist, you’ll like this. It’s an anthropomorphic fable which weaves many folk tales together.

Of course it is so. We can seen so some many successful examples in films , novels and even video games. So many interest in those masterpieces is not what they represent but how they represent, namely how the author/playwright apply the theory to create the story.
My initial interest for psychological analysis in literature stemmed from a playstation2 game, named as Silent Hill 2, the plot of which can be analysised with Freud’s psychology theory and Jung’s archetypes. Maybe for this reason, archetypes analysis gained my appeal so easily in my literature critics course.
So i am interested to know how you are inspired by that and present a story and its characters.
I haven’t read the novel The Alchemist, but i know a bit about alchemists from my cousin who, like me, has a strong interest in those old and mysterious things.
The music is very relaxing.
