Romeo & Juliet for Beginners

You may remember a post I wrote a few weeks a go about using Shakespeare in class. Well seeing as it’s pantomime season right now, here’s a rather comical Romeo & Juliet script and presentation (with notes).

It’s a half an hour lesson (based on Act 3, Scene 5) and as well as being part of my ongoing fight against philistinism, this skit is relevant to students’ lives. It’s challenging, active and gets them thinking. The dialogue was created by my students and I hope you have as much fun with it as we did.
